Wildlife Advisory: Do Not View, Do Not Stop, Do Not Feed
On our way home from Whistler, Canada to Seattle, WA we passed by a warning sign just outside of the Whistler Village that says, “Wildlife Advisory: Do Not View, Do Not Stop, Do Not Feed” for the next 60 kilometers”. Just a few minutes after we passed by the sign we saw a bear cub on the side of the road. As we know it, whenever there is a bear cub mommy bear is just right around the corner. Sixty kilometers after, we saw another sign that says exactly the same thing, ““Wildlife Advisory: Do Not View, Do Not Stop, […]

Remember the Duck?
By: Romualdo Sente, Jr. Did it ever occur to you that coming to God is not as easy as it seems especially when you know that you’ve offended Him? I remember when I was a kid and did something terribly bad that made my mom went from a dormant volcano to a full scale eruption. I was so scared and embarrassed that it took almost a week before I could muster enough strength to come and talk to her. Seeing the fear and remorse in my face she gently pulled me next to her, lovingly patted my head and forgivingly […]
Where Is The Rice???
Where Is The RICE??? By Romualdo M. Sente, Jr. A few weeks after my family migrated here in the U.S. from the Philippines in the Winter of 2002, I was invited to join a group of pastors for prayer and fellowship in Mt. Vernon, WA which is approximately one hour drive away from our place. My body clock then was struggling to adjust to the weird time of the Pacific Northwest – 12:00 noon was 3 o’clock in the morning in the Philippines. I was so sleepy and hungry that even the best brewed Seattle coffee could barely keep my […]
God’s Bookkeeping Job
God’s Bookkeeping Job By: Romualdo M. Sente, Jr. Bookkeeping is the recording of financial transactions. Transactions include sales, purchases, income, receipts and payments by an individual or organization (Wikipedia). A bookkeeping job might not be a high paying profession but it is an integral part of any business and organizations big or small. Interestingly, bookkeeping is also one of God’s jobs. No, He is not earning money for it or checking on the financial receipts of the church but He is counting every tear that drops from your cheeks. He does not only keep a record of it but He […]

Our New Church Name
A Message from Pastor Sente Dear Church Family, Ten years ago the Alliance Bible Fellowship (Filipino Congregation) and the Lynnwood Alliance Church (Caucasian Congregation) decided to become one. The merged congregation voted to name the church, Community Bible Fellowship (CBF). It has been the church’s name until today (10/07/2011) when the Secretary of State of the State of Washington legally approved the church’s new name, the International Bible Christian Fellowship (IBCF) of Lynnwood, WA. What’s with the new name? In the first few meetings of the leadership of the two congregations to discuss the direction of the Community […]
